Wendy’s class was so much fun. I was all stressed out when I got there and before I knew it the class was over and I was starting my test. The staff was friendly and I know I will go back in 2 years.

BLS COURSE
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers class is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed, healthcare providers, students and anyone who may want to learn the Car diopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for victims of all ages. With the knowledge and skills you learn with BLS you can save a life. You will learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). You will also learn how to relieve a victim that is choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). The skills you learn in this course will enable you to recognize emergencies such as cardiac arrest and how to respond to them.
High-quality bystander CPR can double or triple survival rates from cardiac arrest. The major purpose of the most recent changes to AHA training materials is "to improve survival from cardiac arrest by increasing the number of victims of cardiac arrest who receive early, high-quality CPR."
Upon completion of this class for the health care provider, the participant will be able to describe the links in the American Hear t Association (AHA) Chain of survival. This will include the call to 911, performing 1 and 2 rescuer CPR with rescue breathing using mouth to mouth, face shield, mouth to mask, and bag mask device, and relieving foreign body airway obstruction for the adult, child, or infant victim.
