PALS COURSE

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course ( PALS):

Children are special. Many pediatric emergencies develop due to trauma or respiratory causes. While there are many similarities between ACLS and PALS, there are certain things that are very different and unique to this young population. This PALS course will teach you how to treat pediatric emergencies both in and out of hospital settings.

 

 

PALS Class and Examination Include:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Assessment & Course
Pediatric BLS
Respiratory Distress
Respiratory Failure
Shock
Tachycardia (stable)
Tachycardia (unstable)
Cardiac Arrest
Post-resuscitation Management)

Upon completion of this PALS class the health care provider will be able to understand how to recognize and prevent the common causes of pediatric injuries and emergencies that require resuscitation. You'll understand how to recognize respiratory failure, shock, and cardiac arrest and initiate advanced resuscitation with airway and ventilation control, vascular access, fluid and medication therapy and identify and treat rhythm disturbances.
